The OFI Fish Health Seminar

Ornamental Fish International (OFI) is the worldwide trade association representing all sectors of the ornamental aquatic industry.

On Friday 25 May 2007 OFI will organize a fish health seminar. OFI members have beforehand been invited to bring forward topics for this seminar.

It is presented by Dr. Gerald Bassleer, fish health expert and OFI President. On the agenda for this seminar:

- Puntius denisonii from India): what causes the mortality this nice fish is prone to ?

- Bacterial & parasitic attack on wild fish after collection: how can we reduce this?

- Discus Pest/Discus Disease/Discus AIDS: why this happens and what to do about it?

- Platy with fin and tail rot: a common problem from Asian sources

- A New White Spot Disease (new ICH): more resistant and more difficult to treat?

- Marine fish Lymphocystis or Cauliflower disease: where does it come from and what to do about it?

Access to the health seminar if free for OFI members. Access to non-members at 100 Euro.

The seminar is to be held on 25 May, 17:00 in meeting room 307 at level 3 of Suntec Singapore International Convention and Exhibition Centre, Singapore.
