Zagreb: 4th International Pets Fair March 2000

On Friday, 10 March - Sunday, 12 March 2000 under the corporate name of "People and Leisure” there will be held the 4th International Pets Fair and the 5th International Fair "Home and Garden”

Five pavilions (8a, 9, 10, 10A, 11a), passage between the pavilions 11A and 10A as well as the open space in front of the pavilion 8a (the total exhibition space of 11,000 square metres) will host more than 130 exhibitors from Belgium, India, Italy, Canada, Netherlands, Germany, USA, Switzerland, Great Britain and Croatia.

Alongside a rich offer displayed on stands a wide range of attractive and above all useful accompanying events will complement to the show.

The central attraction of this International Fair is the pet and the main target of the event is to provide animal lovers with best information on correct treatment, care, nutrition and accommodation of pets.

It is a well-known fact that love and care of pets along with living together with animals enriches and improves the quality of man’s life. Gathering together of animal lovers at one place and talks to the experts from the field, held at the former three editions of the Fair, were quite new and a very interesting experience.

Therefore, again this year, the 4th International Pets Fair will recruit at the exhibition space of 10,000 square metres a significant number of pet breeders, manufacturers of pet food and various products along with experts in breeding of animals.
Exhibition programme encompasses aquaria, terraria, breeding of dogs, cats, birds and other animals, ornamental and fish-ponds, food, equipment and accessories, veterinarian services and accessories and technical literature.

The central event of the Fair will definitely be C.A.C.I.B. Zagreb 2000, the international exhibition and evaluation of dog breeds to be held in organisation of the Croatian Kennel Society on 11 - 12 March. 1,800 dogs are expected to be on show. On Saturday, 11 March national champions will be chosen at the exhibition of national dogs and the next day, on March 12th, the most beautiful dog will be announced at the international contest.

The Obedience Training Club will organise the INTERNATIONAL AGILITY CONTEST - in the kennel discipline of hurdle jumping. Within a three-day show the same Club will demonstrate other kennel disciplines like Fly Ball - attractive dog skill of catching a flying ball - Obedience training and some other attractions (see the timetable enclosed to this Release). Again this year Dog Grooming will be on as well as fashion show of dog coats and presentation of various dog breeds.

Alongside the exhibition of dogs, exhibitors will have opportunity to see exhibitions of birds, small fish and animals, poultry, rabbits and pigeons. The special attention of the general public will be surely drawn by the exhibition of reptiles, 50 of them belonging to the German exhibitor Dieter Happ.
